What can be submitted?
Content must be related to your experience with the current pandemic, but there is virtually no limit on the types of submissions. We suggest:
- Written accounts such as personal narratives, observations, journal entries, etc.
- Creative writing such as short stories, poetry, etc.
- Photographs
- Audio files
- Video files
- Physical objects like signs, artwork, diaries, etc.
If you would like to share research output related to COVID-19, please consider uploading it to Prism, our institutional repository, and the Chicago COVID-19 Response Community on Zenodo.
Who can contribute?
- Current students, faculty, and staff of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. We ask that you include your name, department, email address, and relationship to the school when submitting. You may, however, submit with limited personal information or anonymously if you wish.
Context is key for understanding history. We ask you to include the following with your submission:
- Date submission was created
- Location (City, State, Country are recommended; additional details such as "my home office" or "research lab" are encouraged)
- Other contributors, as applicable
- Brief description or caption of the content.
Access choices. We recommend Open Access whenever possible.
- Open: My submission may be made public and included in publications, digital collections, and exhibits and may include my name.
- Open & Anonymous: My submission may be made public and included in publications, digital collections, and exhibits but should be listed anonymously.
- Time-restricted: My submission may be made public and included in publications, digital collections, and exhibits after a period of _____ years and may include my name.
- Time-restricted & Anonymous: My submission may be made public and included in publications, digital collections, and exhibits after a period of _____ years but should be listed anonymously.
- Research-only: My submission may not be made public nor made available in publications, digital collections, and exhibits, but is available for research and use per institution guidelines.
If you choose open access, you may select a license for your materials. No selection will default to CC Attribution 4.0 International.
