Scopus is an abstract and citation database including more than 75 million citations, from approximately 25,000 titles and 5,000 publishers. Updated daily, Scopus covers content from the following four areas: health sciences, physical sciences, life sciences, and social sciences. It contains 190,000+ books. Scopus can be searched by subject, author, or affiliation.

The Scopus database is a keyword searching database, meaning that it doesn't use a specialized terminology like MeSH in MEDLINE. As the searcher, you are responsible for generating all the synonyms for the concepts you would like to search. For example, if you want to search for information on "cardiac arrest," you must also search "heart attack," "myocardial infarction," and "MI."
Choose Scopus from the Popular Resources menu on the Galter Library website to access Scopus. Accessing Scopus from the Galter Library website ensures you will see links to full-text journal subscriptions through Galter.
