Every Ensembl record will open a location tab, which shows a summary of all the features for your region of interest. In this view, you can zoom, scroll and see other genes near your locus. The region in detail is the default view for the location tab.
Just like the gene tab view, when you click on any feature in the browser window, a pop-up menu will appear that contains information for the feature and a choice of links to more information.
Use the menus on the left to view different types of data for the region.
- The region in detail option provides the largest number of feature selections
- For linkage and resequencing data, you will have to zoom to a smaller portion of the gene view
For now, though we will go back to the Gene tab and look at different viewing options. Click on the Gene tab.
