For your first NIH CPOS (or NSF C&P) document, you will have to enter all project information manually, one entry at a time, using the form provided. This process takes significant time, so many departments administrative staff may assist researchers by entering this data for them. Check with your department or unit administrators to learn what their preferred practice is.
Pro tip: It's helpful to have listings from your CERES and Cognos accounts to provide this information, preferably in electronic form, so you can copy/paste longer fields, such as project title.
Another (newer) option from the NIH is to upload an XML file. See the NIH's instructions How do I structure a Current & Pending (Other) Support XML File for SciENcv?
After you create your first document of this type (your master document), you can use it to start each new form, and the project information will be auto-populated. All you then need to do is edit and update the entries.
To add a new project/proposal manually

In-kind contributions are non-cash contributions provided by an external entity that directly supports an individual's research, Examples are lab space, equipment, goods and services. This section of the Other Support document describes these contributions and provides instructions.
The instructions for this section are the same as for projects: click on ADD CONTRIBUTION, complete the form, then click SAVE or SAVE AND ADD ANOTHER ENTRY.
