Adding funding to your record

Near the bottom of your profile is an option to include "funding," and there are two options for adding funding to your ORCID profile: by connecting to the DimensionsWizard to import funding information or by adding it manually.

DimensionsWizard

  1. To connect to DimensionsWizard, click on the "add" button and 
  2. From the two options in the drop-down menu, choose "search & link." 
  3. On the screen that pops up, click on "DimensionsWizard." 
  4. On the screen that pops up to authorize DimensionsWizard to access your ORCID record, click on "authorize access" and 
  5. Continue to follow the prompts, so that the new connection allows for funding information to be added or updated in the system.

Manually

  1. To add funding manually, click on the "add" button and
  2. From the two options in the drop-down menu, choose "add manually." 
  3. On the screen that pops up, you can type or paste the funding information into both required and optional fields (be sure to scroll all the way down) and 
  4. When you're done, click on "save changes." The manually added funding will then be included with your other funding.
