Add works to your record

Works are your research outputs, including publications, data sets, conference presentations, and more. While it's possible to add works manually, we recommend that you permit trusted organizations to add/update this information to add and update them for you. Note that ORCID does not store content. Rather we require that works data added to your record include a link that allows users to easily navigate to the source document. The maximum number of works you can add to your ORCID record is 10,000.

There are four ways to add works to your ORCID profile yourself:

  1. Add works by direct import from other systems (i.e. trusted organizations) to import links to your publications and other works to your ORCID record from other databases. This is the recommended process because it reduces or eliminates errors and enables a reliable connection between your ORCID iD and your works.
  2. Add works directly from Northwestern Elements.
  3. Add works using an identifier.
  4. Import works from a BibTeX file.
  5. Add works manually.

You can also edit works and group similar works together
